How to Add Training Material to a Course

A quick guide to uploading slides, videos, SCORM, tests, surveys and other resources into your course.

Steps Overview

  1. Open the Training Material Tab
  2. Click Add Training Material
  3. Select & Upload Your Content
  4. Configure & Publish
  5. Video Demonstration

1. Open the Training Material Tab
  • In your course editor, click Training Material in the left menu.

2. Click Add Training Material
  • Press the green Add Training Material button and choose the material type from the dropdown.

3. Select & Upload Your Content
  • Slide Converter: Drag‑and‑drop or select a PPT/PDF/DOC → auto‑convert → click Publish
  • SCORM/xAPI: Upload a ZIP package (SCORM 1.2 or Tin Can 1.0, ≤ 1024 MB)
  • Video: Upload or embed (3GP, AVI, FLV, MP4, WMV, MOV, MP3; ≤ 1024 MB; ≥ 3 FPS)
  • File: Upload any downloadable resource (PDF/ZIP/Office/image)
  • Assignment: Upload student deliverable types (DOCX, PDF, JPG, MP4, etc.; ≤ 40 MB)
  • HTML Page: Enter or paste your HTML lesson
  • Survey/Test: Add question bank, select question types, mark mandatory as needed

4. Configure & Publish
  • Fill in Title (& Description if available)
  • Adjust settings (e.g. prerequisites, visibility)
  • Click Save Changes or Publish to make the material live

Type Requirement & Limitation

1. SCORM

is a set of technical standards for eLearning software products.

Compatible with SCORM versions 1.2 and 2004 3rd Edition

2.xAPI (Tin Can)  API

is an E-learning software specification.

  • Supported: Tin Can Standard 1.0
  • The maximum file size is 1024 MB.
  • Must be uploaded as a ZIP package.
3. Video
  • Supported: 3GP, AVI, FLV, MP4, WMV, MPEG-2, MOV, and MP3.
  • The maximum file size is 1024 MB.
  • Minimum of 3 Frames Per Second (FPS).             
  • Videos with variable frame rates are not supported.
  • Embed Video URL: Youtube, Vimeo.

5. Assignments:

are activities that instructors or Superadmins ask learners to complete to assess their understanding and mastery of the course subject. 

  • The allowed assignment file types: 3GP, 3GP2, CSV, DOC, DOCX, JPEG, JPG, MKV, MOV, MP3, MP4, MPEG, MPEG4, MPG, MPG2, PDF, PNG, PPSX, PPT, PPTX, WMV, XLS, XLSX, ZIP.
  • The maximum size per file for an assignment is 40 MB.

8. Survey

is a type of lesson used to gather feedback about the learner's experience
